Missionaries

Though Encounter Church is involved in many areas helping people find their way back to God both locally and abroad, we "officially" support two missionaries.

Each receives 5% of the total tithes and offerings Encounter is gifted weekly.

God has called VisionTrust in partnership with people like you to meet the physical, educational, emotional and spiritual needs of orphaned and neglected children. This holistic approach not only ensures that each child receives food for life here on earth, but eternal food for life in heaven. Jesus said in Luke 4:4 that, “Man does not live on bread alone.”

Encounter Church partners with Vision Trust by supporting orphans in the small village of Cruz Blanca in Guatemala. Vision Trust's work in Guatemala began right about the time our church was starting. Our desire is to focus on getting to know these kids while developing a long term relationship with the work going on there.

Over 90 children are supported by families either at or connected with Encounter.  We have seen four missions trips go to Cruz Blanca since the start of our church in February 2009. The decision was made to begin going every year instead of every other year. Lord willing we will return to Guatemala July 8-15, 2017.

Full-time staff provide leadership and direction to the campus ministry of CRU, which is a network of vibrant, growing movements on 1,029 campuses in the United States and beyond. Proven and diverse outreach strategies expose millions of students to the Gospel each year. Over the past five years, more than 37,900 students made a decision to become a Christian through CRU. Their purpose is to help launch and build movements of spiritual multiplication on college campuses so that everyone will know someone who truly follows Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through our three core values: Win-Build-Send. Winning lost students for Christ through initiative evangelism, building them up in their faith through Bible study and discipleship, and then sending them out to be Christ-centered laborers wherever God takes them.

Encounter Church partners with CRU through their Real Life Ministry by being a host church quarterly for their Sunday night meetings. Our goal is to support Ryan and begin relationships with college students for the purpose of evangelism and helping them see the importance of the local church in a believer's life.
